Due to the National Weather Service heat advisory in effect through Wednesday evening, the Bocce Club is postponing the following Fall Round Robin matches:
POSTPONED
- Monday, October 5 – 3:00 PM matches
- Wednesday, October 7 – 12:30 PM matches
- Wednesday, October 7 – 3:00 PM matches
10:00 AM MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED
The Monday and Wednesday 10:00 AM matches are NOT being postponed. Temperatures are expected to be in the high 70s to low 80s during morning play.
Rescheduling Postponed Matches
Unfortunately, this postponement affects 3 matches on Monday and 5 matches on Wednesday. Because we have a significant number of make-up matches and need to complete them by the end of regular tournament play on October 22, we are asking captains to work with their teams and opposing captains as soon as possible to arrange a new match time.
Some possibilities to consider:
- The forecast calls for more seasonable temperatures Friday through Sunday.
- Early Tuesday morning may also work for some make-up matches.
Captains: Once You Have a New Match Time
Please complete these three steps:
- Reserve the new match time by contacting Jon Stuart at jonstuart@comcast.net.
- Notify the Tournament Team by contacting Tim Robinson at timrintexas@gmail.com so the tournament balls and clock can be made available.
- Arrange for a referee for your rescheduled match.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact:
Jeff Rose: 408-489-1968
Jay Deimling: 408-806-9870
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we adjust the tournament schedule around the unusually hot weather. We appreciate everyone working together to get these matches rescheduled and completed safely.
